rouen duck question

i have 3 baby rouen ?i bought the eggs off of ebay and one of the babies is solid black not the norml color.i emailed the lady and she said they were pure. is it possible for it to be black and still be pure? there is a black baby chick in the back i ued it to teach the ducks to eat and drink

The baby rouen that I had had yellow on its head and chest. I don't know about solid black.

The ones with striped faces are rouens. The other is not. But it is cute anyway!

I have to agree here....rouen babies have the stripes. Maybe there was a sneaky drake around

Yup, baby rouens look like baby mallards and a few other breeds the black with yellow bellys and eye stripes.
