Rouen Duck thread

Pics
@ flynntheduck, thank you, I looked at the khaki campbell breed as well, but they don't seem to look the same at three weeks. I don't know if they are a mix or what. All of the other khaki ducklings had black feet and were clearly different. Mine "looked" more like the rouen ducklings. Key word is looked....

Rouen's are dark as babies. I'm wondering if they are a mix of khaki and buff. Their coloring is too light for khaki but their beaks and feet are too dark for buffs so maybe they are mixed.

do you have a pic of them at just a few days old?
I do! They are very upright compared to my Pekins who are 2 weeks older. These 2 babies stand tall and have longer necks and are a lot lighter in weight and more compact in size. They have not filled out or gained as much weight as quickly as the Pekins, nor do they eat non stop like the Pekins. Any help identifying them would be greatly appreciated!!
That one on the bottom is most likely a yellow Swedish duck

Just found my K. Campbell duck laying with both legs spread out behind her seems like she can't walk she was fine about an hour ago should she just be laying her first egg ?? She about 5 months old

When any of my ducklings or ducks rest comfortably they usually spread both their legs straight back and just sit there or sleep. Unless she is doing it for a long amount of time I wouldn't worry.
If she has proems getting up while trying, that's a different story!

She is fine now looks like nothing was wrong with her I think it was just her way to get to come into the house and have a I will have to keep an eye on her tho.
