he is not mature yet but yes that is a male. if female the green would just be at the top of the head but he has begun haveing green all over his face give him a little more time and his tail curl should pop up. also if you listen to your female she will sound totally different than he does.
We lost our first bird, a Hen Rouen. She layed nice blue eggs. Found a pluck site right next to the neighbors pond they frequent. Close to all the feathers, some of the guts and an egg, not a single bone. Seems most likely a bird of prey. Don't know any other animal that would leave the egg, take the time to pluck and take the whole carcass with it.
