Rouen Ducks

My duck has been sitting on eggs. Today we found two ducklings in the chicken yard. Mom was still sitting on the remaining eggs. Should we remove the ducklings until we get the yard baby proofed. We are also worried about predators. If we remove them when should we put them back in with mom? We removed dad as soon as we found the ducklings.

I would try to give them back to their mom and see if she’ll take care of them now,if not put them somewhere safe.I don’t keep ducks though so this is just a good guess.

You definitely want to keep mom and ducklings in a protected area. When she is brooding and still hatching she isn't going to get up with her ducklings and they can get into trouble. If you put them into a brooder be sure to put them back when hatch is complete. Or mom is up with the ones that have hatched. How many eggs does she have left to hatch? @cheryldb
