rouen ducks

How often do rouen ducks lay and at what age will she start. I am New to this and appreciate your help. I am sure I will have more questions later.

Around 6-8mths would be the average some ducks can be sooner, some later. Now i don't know much about that breed, so cannot comment much on laying ability, but thought i'd answer what i could!

We'd love to see pictures! are they babies, older? how many.

Thank you for your reply. I have just 1 for now. She is kept company with 4 young chickens and I free range them. All are about 4 months old. I will post pictures soon.

my girls lay an egg just about daily. I do not know if that is normal.

I have to adults 2yrs old. it is kinda just a learning process after there first year I got mine in June 2011 they had eggs the next spring. I knew nothing and just kinda learned next year around a different story. Must be able to study there nesting habits. You can tell if she is ready to nest or not. I only let her have 4 of her eggs marked them the day May 5 2013 and just allowed her to have those only for 32 days? I hope she will hatch them? Other wise she would just keep laying more eggs and she gets really confused on what to do. But maybe we will she some ducklings in the beginning of June. Any other eggs I take away and use them for baking or scrambled. Nothing better than cage free duck eggs. Good luck Rouen Duck owners.
