In the last week, I have noticed that my little 31/2-week-old Orscheln's rouens have little tufts of "hair" growing out of their lower stripe, where the ears are. I have searched for some mention of this, but I'm quite sure I'm not searching the right terms! Ear hair? Ear tufts? Stripe pouf? LOL.

It's very pretty (almost like long eyelashes growing out of their ear hole), but I'm sure it will be gone when they feather out. I don't suppose it's any indication of male/female?

Sadly, it not an indication of male or female. I think the "Ear tufts" are adorable

. They'll grow out of them in a few weeks
