I think a mallardI'm usually good with telling them apart but I'm alittle stumped on this duckling. Mallard or rouen?
That's what i was thinking but I've been really second guessing myself lol ughI think a mallard
I’ve read that Rouens usually have two stripes on their heads and mallards have just one whole stripe. Also this duckling just has a wild look to it if that makes sense lolDuck newbie here. How do you know the difference? I'm genuinely curious.

Yes they are correct! You tell by the stripes beside the eyes. But sometimes they still throw me off a bit even as an experienced poultry person.Duck newbie here. How do you know the difference? I'm genuinely curious.
Also, with mallards when they get fully feathered (not fully plumaged because both the males and females will be brown for awhile) you can sex them by the beak color!] the females will have orange and brownish beaks the males more yellow! Figured I'd let you know if you decide to raise them!Duck newbie here. How do you know the difference? I'm genuinely curious.
