Rough molt?

Maybe I never paid attention during this particular time (about 1 week old) but I have a couple chicks that have especially red skin, looking almost bloody til i picked them up. Is this just a result of a rough molt?

Some just look sunburned, especially yellow ones or under a heat lamp, they are fine.

They're too young to be moulting. You may want to lower the temp a bit. If it's too hot they may not feather as quickly and may look a little bald.

Unfortunately, that's our standard hot. I removed the hot plate a couple days ago. Other choice is to "cool" it down with a fan or something. It's running 95F here. They are in garage and have an entire floor ready in the Hotel Qualifornia outside. I have been putting them out at week two, I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the heads up!
