Rough night in the ol' coop or ????

    First time since I started keeping chickens that I've seen this.
    I just went out to check on the flock, expecting them to be off freeranging somewhere. Nope, they are all asleep, near the coop, under the fig trees.
    Lilith and Chloe even have their heads tucked under their wings. My roo woke up and looked at me with one bleary stinkeye.
    I know the weather is cold and dreary today, but still....
    Funny thing is the puppy, cats and I just got up from our nap when I went out to check on them. Maybe they didn't get the message that naptime is over?
    OMG, you don't think they've eaten some overripe, fermented figs and passed out do ya? [​IMG]

    Mine take a nap daily. They are usually under the holly bushes, boxwoods, or the rhodendrians. Sometimes some in all those places!
