rough rooster

My Rhode Island Red rooster is getting mean and aggressive as it gets older it is 6 months old and is attacking me and anyone who tries to enter the coop or run i tried pushing him away but that just makes him worse there is 5 hens with him,is that why he is so aggressive,

A people aggressive rooster could have one hen or 20 hens, doesn't matter. Or are you asking that if he didn't have ANY hens, would he be that aggressive??? I'm not sure on that one. I would think that his aggressiveness would have to do with protecting his hens, so maybe. Being protective is good, but not when it comes to being aggressive against humans. Most people will not keep a human aggressive rooster around - too many risks w/children or guests. There are very protective roosters out there who are NOT people aggressive.
