Day 13 I think. or maybe 14... Lets go with 14 as 13 is a bad number.

One egg was broken yesterday. And some how there seems to be another eggs missing. She gets up to eat 2 X a days so I am not sure if she ate it or it just fell out, broke, etc.

Stilll crossing the fingers. I would like atleast a couple to hatch out and her to be able to raise them. She is one of the top hens so I am going to give her a shot a doing it herself and see how it goes.​

I think she may have quit on me.... But there is good news. Another hen has decided to sit on her nest.

I have noticed the last few days this one white mixed hen sitting on the nest quite often. I would chase her off ( again with a board and some thick gloves) and then the first hen would come back.

I came home from work yesterday and was surprised to see the first hen out walking around, a little less puffy and not nearly as vocal. I go into the coop and the white hen is sitting tight. I guess I will find out today more of what is going on.​

I have a broody silkie too she's on day 4 with 4 eggs under her all silkie/?? eggs 2 are her's and 2 are her sisters, I'm going to mark them today since shes' been sitting for 4 day. She's white and the father could be a Lav Orp, Black or Splash Ameracana,Rumpless Aracana, or Cochin

That white hen did/does. She was one of the ones I had planned to butcher a few months back just did not bother to catch her. I guess saving her was a good thing.​
