Hi all,
added some new 12 week old members to my flock and im probably about 4 days in and today I noticed worms in their poo 💩
What can I use to treat in uk.
Ive found flubenvet but its around £40 which id rather avoid paying if there are cheaper alternatives.
The cost of these chickens just keep adding up 😂🙈🙈
Thank you

Flubenvet is a very effective wormer. It eliminates all types of poultry roundworms that chickens can get. It is in the same class of wormers that we use here in the U.S. aka Benzimidazoles.

Could you post pictures of the poop with worms? You may also use Panacur (fenbendazole) for worms, given orally to each chicken once and in 10 days. If given for 5 consecutive days, it will kill other worms as well. Here in the US Panacur is 10% fenbendazole, while the Panacur is 18.75%, so the dosage is a bit complicated. Do you know an approximate weight on the pullets? Here is a link for it around 14 pounds:

Normally for 10% fenbendazole/panacur dosage for a chicken would be 0.23 ml per pound. I think the 18.75 % dosage would be 0.12 ml per pound. For a 5 pound chicken dosage would be 0.6 ml. Give it once and again in 10 days for roundworms only. To get other worms, such as gape and capillary/threadworms, it can be given for 5 consecutive days. Check my math. I also found a link for the 10% fenbendazole:

Well here in NH, across the pond, I took their stool to my avian vet and they looked at it under microscope and prescribed me the appropriate med and in correct doses for my two sizes of chooks. I felt it was worth the cost since not all worm meds in store will be effective against all worms.
Yes I saw the roundworms, but could be others we don't see, so micro view is warranted.
Best of luck to u and your sweet little charges❤🐔
