I found roundworms in cecal poop on 7/11/19. They were still moving. This chicken (yes, I have one chicken) has had roundworms before, and I have successfully treated with Safe-Guard paste (pea-sized dollop for 3 days) followed by re-treatment in 10 days with either Safe-Guard or Valbazen. This time I opted to treat with Valbazen (.5 ml) by mouth, administered yesterday, 7/11. Later yesterday there was a poop with a couple worms but they didn't seem to be moving. Today there was a poop with one worm that was still moving, albeit quite slowly.

My question is: How long before the roundworms should be dead (not moving) after treatment. My recollection is that anytime I've treated with Safe-Guard or Valbazen all roundworms found in stools after treatment seemed pretty dead though I admit I didn't spend a lot of time trying to watch if they were moving.

Valbazen slowly kills worms over a 3-4 days period of time.
