Roundworms? (Pic included)

Wazine will work for the roundworms and only the roundworms, but you can certainly use something else. I am a fan of Safeguard because it has a much broader spectrum and will treat any other nematodes your chickens may have.
The general rule of parasites is that mixed infections are the norm, so your chickens probably have other things as well.
Thank you so much! Our TC doesn’t even have Wazine and since you prefer safe-guard I’ll go with that one.

Do you treat with 1 pea sized amount in the mouth and then again in 10 days?

I will give 20-30 mg/kg every day for 5-7 days in a row to kill tapeworms as well as everything else (I have a scale and weigh it out). Also be sure your chickens aren't in the middle of molting when they're treated, fenbendazole can cause deformities in actively growing feathers.

refer to this thread about "pea sized" blobs of paste dewormer.

Oh ok, glad I asked. Thank you! I would have just done it one day and then repeated in 10 days. And thanks for the article! I'll give them their dose when they go to roost tonight to make it easier.

There are a lot of different protocols for deworming, and it just depends on what you are treating for and your choice of dewormers. My method is not necessarily the correct one, the one you linked to could be sufficient.

True, but I like the idea of doing it your way for 5 days to make sure anything else they might have gets knocked out as well. I appreciate all of your advice!! ;-)

We treated them last night for the 1st time and I did have a younger bird poop out a worm so I am glad we treated them all. We will continue to treat for the full 5 days and then wait a week and re-treat for any eggs that would have hatched. When I retreat, do I just do 1 dose or a full 5 day treatment again?
