Introducing our new babies; three 3 day old Royal Palm turkeys. These are my first and I am surprised how much more active and curious they are than the chickens. They dont seem as "stupid" as rumored. They found their food and water right away. I got 3 chicks (Wyandottes) to be with them as I heard they may not learn to eat otherwise, but they knew just what to do!

I have one young royal palm jake, and he's one of my favorites. He's nearly 3 months old now and huge!

Turkeys are actually very intelligent, and the poults don't have a problem finding food and water like a lot of people say. Mine never have. They do watch the mom very closely to see what she does, but if they aren't raised by the mother, they don't seem to have any problem taking care of themselves.

I can sit down on a 5 gallon bucket and my Royal Palm poults will fly up onto my thighs and perch or walk around pecking at the rivets on my jeans. They love to have their heads, necks and chins rubbed.
