Hi there, happy new year!
I have 2 Royal palms a female an male. They got pardon thanksgiving time when 4 of the 6 made it to the table. Considering keeping these 2 to start egg production and maybe get more turkeys for next thanksgiving. My question is at what age do they start laying? They are maybe 7 8 months old now maybe 9, need to look through receipts to figure the exact age out. Also do I need both male and female to produce eggs? Obviously if I want little turkey chicks then yes but what about just producing eggs? DO turkeys need both genders?
Thanks a lot! I will post pictures of the 2 fatties soon.

Chickens, and Turkey's do not need a Tom present to lay their own eggs. They need a male present to lay fertile eggs and hatch your own poults. I've never raised turkeys that made it to lay their eggs but let's say they were born in the spring I think they won't lay until the following spring.

Your girl will lay this Spring. She may not start until March or April. If she is your only girl, then when she is ready to go broody, she should have no problems hatching her own babies. However, you might have to move your Tom at that time so he doesn't try to mount her while she is sitting on eggs. Keep a close eye on things because first time Turkey Moms sometimes squish their own babies by accident. If you think there is a problem, snag up those eggs and incubate or retrieve the baby poults just after hatch and put them in a brooder box inside.
