Hi,
I have Royal Palm Tom who up to 3-4 days ago, was doing what Tom's do with his 2 hens. He was acting like a Turkey, strutting around all about himself, even trying to mate with old Sally (40 lb. double breasted white turkey) with what didn't seem like any luck. Then, he was laying down in the barn, not going outside, but would be up to move if I approached him. The day after that, he laid head first in the corner, won't move/hasn't moved and even when I pet him, he doesn't much care. I have no clue what could be wrong with him, he looks fine. He did seem to be limping or favoring his feet when he walked, just prior to this laydown stage. He's 5 years old, was given to me last fall. What do I do? I won't eat him, I don't eat meat, and if you say cull, I'll have to get someone to do that too.
