I came home to find Tommy limping. He is a 9-10 months old royal palm . It now has been 5 days. Today i soaked his feet\\legs in epson salt. I looked his feet legs over real good and can't find anything wrong, and he acts as nothing hurts. pulling twisting legs toes, rubbing pad on bottom of his foot. He wont put weight on his foot. he tries to do a one leg and one leg one toe limp. I am not sure if his pad is busted open is it hard to tell ( bumble foot) ??? I have no clue can someone help. Only thing I can find for him is duramycin-10 which he is getting 800 mg dose. currently has paper towel neosporin taped to his pad(after Epsom 30min soak) on his foot thinking if it is busted open this would help draw/ heal. Also soften the callas. His pearch was high maybe him jumping down had injured his foot leg causing bumble foot? I lowered his and all preaches today.

Anyone please help Tommy He has girlfriends in incubator

If it is bumble foot you would find a lump or a scab on the bottom of his foot. Did you see anything like that?

It could also be a sprain, and if it is just keep him as relaxed as you can get him. I don't know much about turkeys. I would assume it would be like a chicken, can you lock him in a smaller area so he cannot run around?

Also you might want to post something in the turkey forum.

I wish you luck!

Tom does have a pad on his foot. I believe it is suppose to be there. There is one on the other foot. No scabs that i can see.

I thank you for your concern. It took 2 weeks but he final came around. He must of sprained or bruised his foot,he is now walking like nothing ever happened.
