Rubber chicken

I have had chickens for years. In the last two weeks I have had healthy layers turn up dead while free ranging. They look like rubber chickens head strait out in front legs stretched out behind, no wounds or feathers missing. I am perplexed last one was an americana I let out at 1230 and at 4 found her by the barn neck and legs stiff but still warm. I have dealt with predators but this has me stumped.

It could be old age that's what it looks like but I have no clue because not all of them can die at the same age. Maybe fear??? I really don't know
