Rubber egg question

So this morning the same chicken laid another soft shell, along with another hen (her first)...I'm getting alittle concerned about the one that's been laying for over a week now, the past two have been soft, when the first week she had no issues at all...how long does this last??

I'm dealing with the same thing. One of my pullets laid for the first time two weeks and a day ago. She laid 3 nice eggs the first 3 days. After that she has laid soft/shell less eggs every other day with no normal eggs in between. I think it is just her system getting used to laying. She has access to plenty of calcium.

Yes, ours have it readily available at all times, at first I thought, my goodness what is going on with this chicken! the strange part is, our older Barred Rock has been laying for 3 weeks now, & has never had a shell-less egg, so I hope this is only a passing thing with these two, they are Red ranger meat chickens
