Hi, Everyone! I'm new to this forum and new to chicken husbandry. I have a small backyard flock of 5 hens. Three are a year old and two are about a year and a half old. They have all laid really well, even through our West Coast winter. In the last 2 or so months, I have found 3 rubbery eggs. The eggs are normal looking inside and outside except for the weird shell. I have found all 3 in the litter tray underneath the roost in the coop, first thing in the morning - it's almost as if the egg dropped out at night! The hens are fed Whole Earth layer pellets and as much oyster shell as they want in addition to ranging in a decent sized yard and getting kitchen scraps. Any thoughts on this? Should I be concerned?
