Rubys feathers

Hello,
My cochin Ruby is losing a lot of feathers. The days are now shorter and Autumn is on the way. Is it normal for chickens to moult at this time of year? I can not see any bald patches but I do see her feathers all over the garden. Advice anybody please

I an new to chickens (4 months) but my girls also are losing feathers. I believe it is normal.

Chicks go thru 3 juvenile molts between hatch and about 6 months old.
The first 'adult' molt happens their second fall, at about 18 months-give or take a few.

I didnt think Ruby had so many feathers. I keep expecting to see bald patches but not seen any yet and she just keeps on shedding . I think I could make a feather pillow with her feathers I keep clearing up the garden but within a few hours its full again.
