New chick momma. I have 7-10 week old chicks who are awaiting to go in their coop. They currently reside in my spare room. I have heard one of them make a sound that resembles a mini sneeze. No discharge and she has been doing this for a few weeks. Everything seems normal eating, drinking, etc. She is vaccinated for Mareks and they do go outside as much as I can get them out. I also notice she ruffles her feathers and so do the others on occasion. Is this normal? This is my girl Fiona. TIA

Likely normal.
Not sure how much ventilation would be in a spare room, but they are probably getting pretty dusty. Chickens can sneeze from dust in the feed, bedding and even from shed fluff/dander. At that age, they are likely shedding and molting - ruffling is common during preening. They probably would look forward to dust bathing.

Do you have their coop ready? Any reason they are not already outside?

Thank you. The coop is almost ready. I have been building my own and the wire was back ordered. Hopefully they will be in it by the weekend. Can’t wait to get them out of my house and in their own! Lol

Sounds good!
Some materials seem to be hard to get, so I hope you are able to finish your coop!
I agree, I would want them out of the house too - usually I can stand chicks in the house for about 1 week, no more. Thankfully, no chicks in the house for the last couple of years - broody hens take care of that and it's just wonderful!
