My little teeny banty Cochin hen, Shadow, decided to get up into my broody Buff Orp, Nugget's face today. Nugget is huge, but she is at the bottom of the pecking order, just above the youngest in that flock, Fern. Usually, Shadow can bully Nuggers, but not broody Nuggers! They were in a Battle Royale under the roost, feet flying, hackles ablaze, when my blue Ameraucana, Nora, jumped into the middle of it and chased Nugget off. Then, she proceeded to trounce Shadow and I had to rescue the little instigator before she was ripped to shreds by nasty Nora.
Nutty woman-Shadow forgets she may weigh about one pound.
