I have three 14-week-old teenagers that I believe to be Black Copper Marans (came from an elementary school hatch so unconfirmed). Two of them are definitely cockerels, as they have copper shoulders and copper on their necks, and they fight each other and my other barred rock cockerel. The third, though, is all black and rumpless and has me confused! The comb is smaller but bright red, and the waddles are the same size. The tail feathers look rounded to me. I am so hoping for those dark brown eggs, plus this one has crooked toes that I tried to split when he/she was a few days old and I would love to be able to keep her. I attached a pick of 5 of them running from me (lol) so if anyone wants to jump in and confirm my EE and RIR are pullets, that would be awesome! Appreciate it!

The EE and RIR are pullets.

I think the rumpless one is likely to be a cockerel with that amount of comb and wattles at 14 weeks.

A clear, top view photo of its back and saddle are would be helpful.

The Easter Egger has female-specific coloring. The two cockerels you noted on the pictures are, well, cockerels. The Rhode Island Red appears to be a pullet, but can we see that one up close? The chicken in question appears to be a pullet because of no pointed feathers but wait and see.

Just wanted to come back and update. My little friend is neither rumpless nor a BCM… but a very handsome Jersey Giant cockerel! Just in case anyone finds his photos and wants to compare. As long as he stays gentle, he can stay!
