Rumpless Oprington

I have a rumpless Orpington I got from a lady one town over, she got it from a feed store in a near town. She didn't remember exactly what kind other than orpington, It seems splash, and I don't plan on breeding since the rumpless is a defect. He was little when I got him so I thought being a male the tail would come in later it didn't. He is NOT an aracauna though. He is about 4 months.

That's the tail, so he's not rumpless.

The feathers will grow in. With Orpington cockerels, slow to grow tail feathers is common.

4 months, seems young still. I would wait and see. I have a chick that is 10 weeks right now with no sign of a tail yet either. Mine is a mixed breed. Also thinking mine is male due to no tail feathers yet.
