Rumpless question...

I have a Barred Rock who hatched out rump-less. I am working on a project of rump-less birds. My question is would he pass on the rump-less gene? I am still new to genetics, so I hope someone can answer this for me. Thanks.

Yes he will, because the rumpless gene is dominant! If he has one copy of the gene (heterozygous) then 50% of his offspring will be rumpless. If he is homozygous (has two copies) then all his offspring will be rumpless.
