(this is so everyone can post stuff about when their hen ran off when they found her or if you have tips on how to find run away hens ect. )
It has only been three days since I have got my two hens Nugget (Golden nugget not chicken nugget) and (for my sister) Charcoal
When i first got back to my home I let them out in the yard to free range, I soon went back inside to grab something and when i came back first thing i noticed was that Nugget was missing! (i have four chickens charcoal and nugget are the only ones ready to lay the two others Ember and toffe are not) I walked around my yard looking for her and saying "here chick chick chikie!!"
For THREE hours me and my mother walked around our neighborhood looking for her no such luck we couldn't find Nugget
When my brother got home from school him and I walked around the neighborhood again we still couldn't find her, so we started walking home, Our dad pulled into the drive way and offered to drive us around one more time to see if we could find her, we where just coming back from our drive when my brother yelled
"CHICKEN!!!!!!!" he hopped out of the car and of corse Nugget tried to get away by squeezing though a small opening in the fence (really it was TINY she is a huge chicken trying to squeeze though a small small hole LOL )
He caught her and we put her in the coop
today charcoal vanished........ we found her in the neighbors garage... it was really fun cleaning up after her Lol
they just layed their first eggs today... they already where laying eggs at their old owners house but it took a while for them to get comfortably over here and start laying eggs again and don't worry Nugget and charcoal are perfectly safe despite almost getting ran over by cars and almost eaten by cats
