Run-Chicken T50 issues

Commenting because it's current. To my knowledge RunChicken doesn't make a WiFi unit, but they do make a Bluetooth one - is this that one?

I've had a RunChicken T50 for 5yrs. The original unit did develop a bad circuit board in year 4, I think from moisture intrusion. The company was very active with email communication, and did ask many questions about it - but ultimately I ended up buying a replacement drive motor/circuit board, as mine was well out of warranty by year 4. Other than this, my only issue with the door is accumulation of buildup in the bottom corners of the door track, which is just a maintenance item.

Would I still buy or recommend one? Yes, as I feel it's still one of the best designs for the price.

We have had a bad experience as well. We bought a Run Chicken auto door with WiFi. It worked for about 3 months, then crashed with an update. To add insult to injury, we lost 6 chickens to a predator at night. Then the problem increased. Run Chicken made the process to get a refund or replacement almost impossible. Each time they would respond with an email asking for another thing. Then they mysteriously lost some of what I sent them. Wanted videos, pictures, etc. We obviously needed to send invoice. I asked for a list of all they needed, but they just ignored that and asked for “one more thing”. Now they want me to send it back, at customer expense, even though they have a video of it not working. This has taken 2 weeks already and now with having to return it, will be 3-4 weeks and I am still not sure we will get a refund or replacement. DON’T BUY!

Hey there, I just had this issue happen yesterday. I “updated firmware,” and the device seems to have crashed now.
Did Run Chicken resolve your issue or provide a replacement?
