Run Covering

I've used 2x4 welded wire over my 20x30 run. Nothing has ever gotten into it except a few mice(which become chicken food quickly) and a 4 ft black racer. My run is back into the woods. I've got coyotes, raccoons, possums and the ocassional bear. So far so good

Thanks for all the replies. Part of our run will have the roof from the coop extend to give shade, the rest I think we will cover with hardware cloth. The coop is located under two large trees to give additional shade as well.
