Run Flooring Questions

I have not been able to keep my chicken runs from getting horribly muddy. I have tried straw, mulch, sand, pea gravel, etc. Would a concreted floor with sand or something similar to that help any or not? Just curious if any one has concreted floors for their chickens and if it works.

I know my hens love to dig and dust bathe deep into the dirt so I would think the conrete would keep them from doing that and could also possibly do some damage while they are scratching like chickens do. My run tends to get muddy too only really smells when it rains. It is a pain but what I do is go out there and turn over the soil and my problem is solved for a few weeks.
