Run for ducks

So after very sadly losing one of my two free-roaming ducks today to a predator, i'm now looking at building a run to keep the remaining duck safer. Although they were free roaming they had a duck house and were put in at night. So I'm just looking for advice on the run - mainly size.

I don't want the duck to be lonely so plan on getting maybe two or three more for company. I would get just one more, but have been recommended to get more in case anything happens to one again.
What kind of size run would I need for 3 - 4 ducks? Or is there a general rule for room per duck?

10-20 sq ft of run space per duck. For ducks I suggest even 30. Make sure it's sloped.

Can you use chicken wire on the bottom of the run?
