I split the difference between each half. I have a 8 ft. wide by 16 ft. run.The first 8 ft. that connects with the coop is 7 foot tall slanting to 6 foot, then the next 8 ft. of run is only 3 ft. high. THis allows me room to get in and feed , check door, give treats etc. then the smaller area is more within reach than if my whole big run was only 3ft.

I have to squat to get under the coop portion of the run and stoop for the rest. Only once a week, it's not to bad. I plan on making a modified rake, to make the task a lot easier. I tried to compromise between practicality and ergonomically design it for my situation???
With that said if practical a stand up/walk-in run is probably the best choice.

I guess you could hinge the top??? in sections??? But I'd build on you could stand in.

Thanks for all of the ideas. I was also thinking of planting some seedling pines along the coop and run to try to hide it as well. I post some pics when I get it finished
