Run Height

What is the advantage of having a tall run for the chickens vs a short one?

I think it is really nice to be able to walk around in the run to interact with my chickens. They like the elevated perches I've constructed, but I believe they would be just as healthy in a shorter structure.

Cleaning and catching. Tall runs are more for us then for them. Mine like to roost in the run (mostly to get away from the darn roos I think

) but they would probably be just as happy with a shorter structure. I would really hate to have to hunch/crawl around a low run to catch a chook or for clean-up though so our run is high enough to walk around in.
