Such great advice here. I agree with raising it up. My girls (have three: two lightweights, and one heavy) love to have the room to hop around like the fools they are. I don't have an entire roof on mine, (part of the run is covered w/ a roof, and there are several trees over it), and have had to raise the height of my 5' fence in parts. My lightweights can easily fly over the fence if I let them . They really do like to hop around and stretch out though.

Wasnt expecting so many helpfull bits of advise back!!

Ive got some new long legnths of 2" square lumber (father in law works in a rough sawn wood yard), treated it up and am waiting for the weather to break (and my work schedule) so i can dismantle what ive made already and errect our new run.

Il include photos once its finnished, inside and out, hopefully with some chickens doing some chicken stuff
