Not long ago I saw a great thread on building a run in the woods. I seem to remember the responses suggested running wire (forgot which kind) out a foot or so instead of down as a barrier because of the tree roots, and then putting dirt and ground cover over the wire. I have searched using similar words but can't find it
. Would someone please help me out?
Here is our coop, although not a recent pic - windows are now open and peeps are happily inside, but would like their run to be finished:
The run will go in the back toward the woods. It will be 10 x 30 and 6 feet high with 2 x 4 hardware cloth up the sides and chicken wire across the top. So far we have been able to dig some holes for the posts but not without going through some roots.
Any ideas?
