This is how we are laying things out. The temp fence will be up next year and divert them into the garden of this year. During the late fall/winter they have access to both areas. The truck ent. is where we bring in compost and such and let the girls spread it.

looks good, my set up ow is only for a year or two, but when i move im going to have a much bigger set up, im really enjoying the chicken life, i cant wait to expand it into something where i can have two 30x30 plots and switch every year, i like that idea, i like your set up btw kungfoo, thanks for the pic!!

Thanks. It is still not finished but, that is what we are working towards. The chickens themselves gave us this idea after we noticed that the miniature magnolia never got above a small twig with two leaves in 8 years. When chickens were introduced it came up to about 8ft in a year. It must love their fertilizer. Fortunately they don't have a taste for magnolia. I'm happy as well because the girls dug all the rocks up too.
