Run Under Coop

Hi everybody,

I've tried searching for this info, but so far I've been unsuccessful.

My coop will have part of the run underneath it.

I have what will be some large chickens, and I'm wondering what the height of the run area under the coop should be.

I believe I read 1.5 feet. I made mine 2 feet just to give a little extra.

I'd go at least 2 feet

I left 2' under mine - that way there's room enough to hang a feeder...

I made mine tall enough to get a rake under for cleaning without having to get on my hands & knees.

Use a hanging feeder to gauge how high. Min is 2' also
