Pitch held on tightly as the elk fought for it's life.As soon as Pitch had a good hold on the elk, Duke lunged forward and jumped onto it, locking his jaws around the elks large neck to crush its throat. The elk squirmed beneath his hold, but Duke continued to clench down with his teeth.

Duke clenched down on the elk's throat tighter until he could feel that he had drawn blood. The elk twisted and Duke almost lost his hold. He placed his paws on the elks strong shoulders to help hold it down. He bit down as hard as he could to crush the elks jugular, and didn't let go until the elk was gone. He let go and looked at Pitch and grinned. He could feel that his face, muzzle, and neck were covered in the elk's blood.Pitch held on tightly as the elk fought for it's life.
Pitch released his hold after the elk stopped moving. He grinned at Duke "This is great, I haven't had elk in a long time"Duke clenched down on the elk's throat tighter until he could feel that he had drawn blood. Wildfire entered the den shortly after Garron left, his brows furrowed. "What did he want?""Garron?" Zero raised her head when she saw her son standing at the entrance. "Come in."
"Thank you." Garron stepped inside, and sat down.
"Do you need to tell me something?" Zero smiled at Garron and rose to a sitting position.
"Yes." Garron's voice dropped to a low murmur, so that no prying ears could hear. With Scar around, he felt as though Scar saw his every movement, heard his every word. "Mother, I... The new wolf, Scar, is... Really bothering me."
"How?" Zero's warm smile faded, and her brows pinched together in concern.
"Well, you see... He's just very possessive of Piper. He glared at me, and... He doesn't want me around her. I don't feel safe with him around. I'm afraid that he'll hurt... Or even kill me."
"Garron..." Zero sighed. "Garron, I think you're thinking too much of this. You're worrying too much. I'm sure Scar didn't mean to glare at you; he was probably just looking at something behind you. And about Piper... He's just protective of her, I'm sure. And not without reason." Zero didn't specify, as she could tell that her son was growing quite fond of her, but she felt that Piper was a little... slow, if you will. She needed to get herself together if she was going to live in Pinepack... But from what she could see, Scar was doing a wonderful job of helping her with that. "Go to sleep, now." Zero drew her tongue over his ear. "We're leading a hunt in the morning."
"Al-alright." Garron rose to his paws almost like a robot would, and he padded back to his den with stiff legs. She completely missed what I was saying. Does she even care?
