Willowpelt finally reached the tree. She jumped in happiness. "I won!" she jokingly teased.

Gryphon pulled up beside her and laughed, "Yes you did!" he jumped into the river and flicked water at her with his tail.

Willowpelt laughed. She ran and pounced on him playfully, knocking them both into the water.

Gryphon rolled out from under her and rose to the surface laughing, he waded to shore and shook himself, sending water droplets everywhere.

Jisrun's hackles rose as a snarl rose to his throat. He rose to his full height and stood between the bear and the pup, his fangs bared aggressively. He couldn't remember the last time a bear ever dared to come into Stonepack territory...but here it was...so close to the densite too! He pushed the pup into the bushes with his back foot and then growled at the bear, advancing a step. He howled to the sky, hopping his pack mates would help...he knew he was no match for the bear by himself...no wolf was. But he would not run...he would protect Winter with his life need be.
The bear wasn't impressed and swiped out a paw, roaring loudly in irritation of loosing it's prey. Jisrun dodged and snapped at the bear's face, the bear pulled back and then swung his paw hard in a back hand sending Jisrun flying, a menacing crack echoing as he landed against a tree. The wolf got to his feet and rushed the bear again, swiping a paw at the bears eyes. With a roar the bear staggered back a bit, blood from a cut on his head dropping into his eye. Jusrun howled again in this brief respite...

Winter watched in horror... But she howled for help to.

Aella heard the call for help. It was Jisrun and... Winter? Winter! Aella looked at Jisrun Jr. and he was sound asleep. She leapt for the enterance and saw how close it was to the densite. If the bear could get through her and Jisrun, what would happen to her dear adopted pack?

Aella leapt at the bear and landed on its back with such grace. The bear yowled and bent its head back, trying to get a hold of Aella, but she sank her teeth into the bears neck. The bear finally got a hold of Aella and swung her around and slammed her on the ground.

He lept and grabbed the bear's muzzle in his teeth as it turned on his adopted daughter. He pulled it around and didn't let go, grinding his fangs down hard on the bears skull. The bear let out a snarl mixed with a whimper and pawed at Jisrun, it's claws gouging deep in his side. But he didn't let go. Through his teeth he hissed at Aella, "GO! Take Winter out of here! You just gave birth...you shouldn't strain yourself! Send help!" he let go and dashed behind the bear snapping at its back legs it took off after him as he lead it further away from the pack. If i can only distract it long enough...
