After her brief talk with Senkah, Fyra left the densite, setting out to search for Cody. She wanted to apologize... she needed to... even if she didn't know what she did wrong. She didn't know at all, but every cell in her being was calling her to go find him...

(( If Kiba doesn't want to, can I make Hunter's mate, Owlkins? ))

Edited to make it readable.

Garron listened all the way through, still and silent. By the end his hatred for Darkpack had swelled to the breaking point but he hid it well. He simply placed his paw on hers and whispered, "I know saying that I'm sorry won't help, Garnet...but...If I can to anything...anything at all to help you...I will." he looked away and growled like he never had before, it was low, vicious and terrifying. "Darkpack will one day pay for the many lives they have destroyed! I hope at least, if I can't live to see them fall....i at least hope I can take them down with me."
(Oh look, he's vengeful. Knew there was a reason Garnet liked him!)

Garnet looked him in the eyes, "Save Kodiak for me." She sighed, "There's something else. Almost every night, I've dreamt about Kodiak killing Scorch and my pups." She felt nervous, unsure whether to go on, but she felt he deserved to know. "This time, it wasn't Scorch that he killed. It was you. And -" Shut up, Garnet! Shut up! "And I think it's because he took away what I loved, and I'm afraid he'll do it again." No! Why did you tell him that! You don't even know if he feels that way! What's wrong with you! She looked down.

Kado awoke with a yawn, still curled up on the rock where he fell asleep with Girvan. Night had fallen, and he was alone. "P-poppy?" He asked shakily.

A gray-blue and red blur came racing through the entrance of the den, yellow eyes ablaze. "Have you seen Cody?" Fyra demanded, her breathing heavy and strained.

Garnet jumped slightly, startled, "No. Why?"
"'Cause I just potentially ruined our friendship, that's why!" Fyra snarled, snapping her jaws together to create a hollow clank. "And by the way, if we ever get the chance, I call beating the snot out of Kodiak!"

(( That last line was on impulse... ))

Girvan was stunned. "Garnett, I...."
But he didn't know what to say. He had tried to only think of her as a friend because he had thought that she had simply wanted a good friend. Someone who wouldn't treat her differently because of where she came from.
But every day he couldn't help but thinking of the time they first met. How she had bravely confronted him and ignored the stares from the pack. How they had found Wish togather. How she had come every day to sit with him while he was wounded.
How much Girvan had so enjoyed and anticipated those visits...
He had tried, for her sake and his own, to try and ignore his feelings for her...
What she had just said was too good to be true. He sat there...looking into her brilliant eyes.
He cleared his throat and squared his shoulders. "It would be very hard for Kodiak to kill me when I have you to watch my back. I know no other wolf I would feel safer with. Likewise...it will be extremely hard for Kodiak to hurt you when I promise to stand by your side, to never let him touch you. You get to kill him...but I'll be with you all the way.I'll always be there for you, Garnett. Just say the word..."
