Girvan looked down listlessly at the limp and bloody wolf before him. It was nightmarish...he had dreams like this. His head was spinning as he tried not to think of what he was about to do.
He nodded to Charlotte and then gently started to pick him up by the scruff, trying not to taste the blood that matted his fur. It was a long way back to the den site...he hopped that they would be able to make it in time. He hopped he wouldn't collapse.

Pitch looked around, then went to sniff the area so he would know the scent of the other wolf if they ever crossed paths, then he turned to help Girvan "Put him on my back, I can carry him back."

Duke winced slightly when Girvan grabbed his scruff and lifted him onto Pitch's back.

"He's going to die, isn't he?" Charlotte asked, with silent tears streaming down her muzzle. She looked at Duke's limp, blood covered body and shuddered. She wasn't sure how to help get him to the densite. There was nothing to grab. He was so covered in wounds, and she wasn't strong enough to carry him.

"Alright" Pitch said and started to walk back to the dens

Gryphon smiled down on her. "Secretly...I have always wanted pups. But I always thought is was a silly thing for a big tough guy like me to wish for!" He chuckled.

Willowpelt laid in the cave sound asleep next to her mate.

Gryphon slowly awoke. He gently rose, not waking Willowpelt as he padded out. He jumped on top of his rock and looked out down the valley. The sun was just rising behind him and the delicate rays danced in the thick mist that rolled down from the mountains and ascended from the river. He sighed., breathing in the cool crisp air of a dewy morning.

Willowpelt woke up and slowly stood up. She felt like she ate a cow. She carefully walked outside by Gryphon.

Gryphon looked up and smiled," How are you this morning?"

"I feel heavy....." she said.
