Garron nuzzled Piper as he shared the fish with her.
Piper summoned the courage to speak, "Garron..." she started, her voice soft. "What about Pine pack? Your parents exiled me because they thought you were dead. I can't go back or they would kill me. But...shouldn't we let them know you are alive? Your mother would want you back...but I like it here. I don't think pack life is for me..." she whispered.
"I'll just go to the border and howl." He drew his tongue over her ear. "I'm not leaving you no matter what."
Piper smiled and touched her nose to his, "We will go together. I will never leave again either."
She sighed and sat there, looking out to the breathtaking mountains in stone pack as birds made beautiful music above them in the trees. It was so peaceful...
Perhaps, out here, both could make a calm, lovely life for themselves. Perhaps w raise a family.
Piper closed her eyes and smiled.
"I love you Garron."
She had said it so many times...but this time, she poured all of her soul into those simple words making them worth more than all the gold in the world.
(Shall we time skip a year?)
