"A feared army is different than a feared wolf." Ripple shot back. "I want to defeat the other packs so that our pack can have power. That doesn't mean I want everyone to tremble at the sight of me."

Suski gave Destoe a look that clearly said, "I told you so."

Ripple's expression instantly went from hurt to furious. "You seemed to have left out a few details when you told me of your plans, huh Destoe?" He growled.

Destoe snapped and said "I meant you would have respect from your pack mates! And I only wanted the best for you Ripple!"

"Why do you care?" Ripple snarled. "I'm nothing more than a pawn in your plans. So don't act like I suddenly matter."

Suski just stood silently. She wanted to comfort her son, but she was also enjoying this too much to step in.
