"War?!" Echo's eyelids blinked, one, twice, long and slow, as she repeated that word several times. "War..."
Senkah's eyes narrowed until they were fiery sky blue slits. "You don't have to worry about that, Willow." Senkah's voice was hushed from her attempt to contain her fury. She stalked out of the alpha's den, and picked her way to the alpha's rock. "Stonepack!" Her call resonated across the densite. "Gather at the foot of the alpha's rock for a meeting!"
Quartz raised her head at the sound of her alpha female. She finished the last of the fish she'd dug up from her old cache and trotted into the densite, cheerful and completely unaware of the horrible things that had happened.
Cedar stayed beside her dying packmate. She still didn't completely understand what was going on.
But Faedon and Sky were not nearly as cheery as Quartz was. They were uneasy, and shifted in their seats every few seconds.
(( Silkies is gone, so I'm going to pretend that her charries are there. )) "Stonepack." Senkah's voice had a serious, cutting edge, and yet her voice was confident, and rang with the strength of a true alpha. "Darkpack has wronged us again... and for the last time. This morning, before dawn, Kodiak gravely wounded Willow." Senkah's eyes closed, if just for a second. "We cannot let them get away with this. This calls for... war."
Hey she started it
(Nope. Senkah's talkin' to the pack about it though. I have to go really soon.)

Senkah's ears twitched in annoyance. She would normally never be this short with her pack, but after the incident, she was on edge and, honestly, a bit stressed. The prospect of her daughter, Faedon, going into battle always worried her. "Don't panic. We're strong enough to defeat these mutts."
Willow mumbled something about leaving a home for the spiders as Cedar lay the cobwebs on her wounds, but most of her thoughts were concealed in war.

Quartz's jaw dropped. "What?!" she yelped before she could stop herself. She breathed in the scents of the wolves from the alphas' den and, with growing dread, recognized the metallic smell of blood. Lots of it.
Cedar gritted her teeth and put some cobwebs onto Willow. Please don't die, she thought desperately.
