Vashti laughed and said as if reading his thoughts, "I saw a couple of rabbits not far from here, that way." she pointed with her tail.
"We don't need your help." Misa growled.

Kado whimpered in fear. The sounds hurt his ears. He didnt feel safe out here, even though he was with his mother.
Poppy whimpered too, bumping against Kado as they hung from their mothers mouth. She yipped in annoyance and fear.
Vashti flicked her tail with amusement, her cold eyes gleaming. "Oh, excuse me. I'll just let the happy couple get back to...whatever they were doing. Oh, I know...not catching prey." she laughed in the wolfs face and stalked off to go catch the rabbits. Misa was smaller than her and even though Vashti was wounded, she had no doubt that she could beat her in battle.
If she wanted.
But she didn't. She laughed again at Klash's face. Oh...that poor wolf!
After a bit Scar said, "I can help you learn to hunt, but I need to know how good you are first. Go and catch something...anything and take it back to camp. I'll watch you and assess your strengths. You won't be able to see me but I'll meet you back at the densite, okay?"
Piper nodded and raced off, hoping to prove herself.
Scar's eyes became slits of ice as he turned slowly and padded off, his nose searching for Garron's scent. He wanted to find the wolf and...clarify...what he meant by his look when they had meet. He stalked closer, he could smell Garron close.
Linden howled her rage from Hades's mouth, glaring daggers at her mother. This vocal pup didn't care about hunters and such; they were just specks of dust compared to how annoyed she was becoming from dangling by her scruff.Kado whimpered in fear. The sounds hurt his ears. Faedon fought to suppress a ferocious growl. Her instincts were screaming at her, and they were sending mixed messages to do this and that. She wanted to stay with her pups, but the natural instinct of a mother she possessed howled deep within her heart to kill the hunters... kill them all... and protect her pups. The feeling was overwhelming, and it took all the strength she had to not do just that. At this point, she didn't care about her own life, or even the lives of her packmates, for that matter. All that mattered to her was that the little scraps of fur that she loved so dearly lived...
Wildfire watched from a little ways off. He didn't trust Scar, and wanted to make sure his son was safe.

Garron's trail weaved through the pine trees, swirling this way and that. His scent grew stronger and stronger as the trail took Scar to Stonepack's border. From here, the gunshots in the mountains could be heard echoing in the distance, although they were quiet and faint.
