Cody paced in the densite with a mouse clenched in his jaws.

Fyra had been hunting unsuccessfully for the past hour or two. She had attempted hunting near where Willow was buried, where her and Cody had hunted on the first day, but Willow's ghost held tight to the land. It was almost as if Fyra was suffocating, drowning in fathoms of cold, black water, when she was there.

Needless to say, she'd never try that again.

Sighing, she headed back to the densite, her jaws clenched around nothing. When she saw Cody, she felt her muscles tense for reasons beyond her. He made her go insane... both with confusion and regret.

And love.

Akira awoke in her den with a stretch. She looked over her shoulder back at Titan, and barked, "Wake up."

Titan opened a single blue eye to look at her and yawned, "Why?"

"Today we start your training." She rose to her paws and plucked him off the ground by his scruff, and trotted out to the densite. She dropped him on the ground and snarled, "Get ready."

Still half asleep, Titan stumbled to his paws. He froze in horror as he saw Akira charging for him with her fangs bared; Akira swooped in and grabbed his leg, before letting go and dancing away. She came in again with stabbing attacks, and Titan flinched as her fangs would tear open small scratches on his gray pelt.

Akira snapped and slashed, giving the helpless pup no time to dodge or even react. But Titan began to notice a pattern to Akira's attacks, and he used that to his advantage until Akira almost always missed.

Satisfied, Akira nodded to him and told him, "Wait here." She turned and bolted away, and a few minutes later, she returned with a rabbit. "Here," she smirked and nudged it towards him. "You earned it."

Titan smiled a little for the first time since he'd been here, and he took a tentative bite.

Titan finished the rabbit and licked the blood off of his muzzle. He looked over at Akira and murmured, "What's your name?"

"Huh?" Akira raised her head, "Oh. My name's Akira. And that's Atra, the alpha." Akira flicked her tail towards her mother, who was perched on the alpha's rock. "And that's Vashti," she finished as she pointed with her nose towards her friend. "You'll meet the others soon."

Titan nodded and he smiled a little. He'd been in Darkpack for about a week now, and he'd come to terms that no one was coming to save him. And to be honest, a part of him was glad; he was actually starting to like it here. At least I get to have some fun, he thought as he remembered the training from earlier.

Almost as if on cue, Senkah padded out of the alpha's den. She stretched and parted her jaws in a yawn, and began to make her way around the densite to check on her wolves.

Garnet winced slightly. The pup was ignorant, certainly, but she had stopped thinking about her roots. She lowered herself into a play crouch, but the excitement was out of her eyes.
