Duke was flung off of the bear when Zara bit into its shoulder. He hit the ground hard, and the wind was knocked out of him. He scrambled to his feet and stood there gasping for breath.

(I've had the wind knocked out of me before. It sucks!)

(I'm pretty sure it's a team effort.)
Zara spat the chunk of fur out and turned her attention back to the bear. She glanced over at Duke to make sure he was alright. She growled at the bear and nipped its hind leg.

Charlotte stood close by, staring at the bear with wide eyes, frozen in fear.

Duke shook the bears fur out of his mouth and lunged back at it. He growled at it and ran around its legs, lunging at him occasionally, trying to get the bear to focus its attention on him so that the other wolves had a better shot at taking it down. Duke caught sight of Charlotte out of the corner of his eye. "Get out of here!" He snarled at her.
