Quartz approached the den uncertainly, "Hello?" she said, lowering herself.

There was silence in the den for a moment. "What are you doing here?" Hades demanded, stepping out. He thought that Quartz had been eavesdropping.

"There is a wolf near camp who says she is thinking of joining Stonepack," Quartz said, looking away.

Midnight's Star sat up straight at the sight at the other wolves.
 
Hades and Sheila began sniffing Midnight Star's coat to make sure that she had no Darkpack scent on her.
