Neb half-heartedly trudged over to Lupin's body, now cold from the biting winter chill. He cried at the thought over never wrestling with her, never seeing her bright eyes again, never hearing her rough, throaty how again. This made him cry sadly. Suddenly, he threw back his head and howled louder than ever(will the other wolves present please join in again, in one final chorus for Lupin?)

Quartz's mouth opened, then closed before she managed to say, "I...I can't...how can she be dead?!"

Aki looked at his grief stricken friends, his heart broke. He lifted his head and belted out a lond howl, a final goodbye, that drifted far and wide.

West had been sitting next to Sierra, now hearing the sad howls, he quietly joined in, a low soft eerie howl.

"Something happened in Stonepack" Yuki whispered "we better get back to camp she said trying not to show she was scared, she wished she had brought someone along with her! But that would have been childish

Neb's howl got louder and louder and louder. It wavered and split the silence like a knife. His eyes were squinted, almost shut, and tears ran down his cheeks.

The howls died down, though Nebrivo's howl outlasted all others' howl. Finally, he looked down at his mate one last time. "G-goodbye, sweet Lupin." he said, choking on the lump in his throat.

Quartz closed her eyes and howled to the setting sun, a tear trickling down her muzzle as her heart shattered into a thousand pieces.
